eternal energy review

eternal energy

an interesting noise song that starts off with some spanish guy speaking before it cuts into a recording of what sounds like people on a bus. then it goes into a feedback-driven aural assualt. its recorded in stereo and there are different degrees and amounts of sound being used at once. there is a low rumble on the left side and a high pitched screeching on the right. the sound is very thick and heavy. its really quite good and it sort of evolves in a really simple and natural way. the noise abruptly ends and a recording of some type of news broadcast comes up before the entire thing is over. very strange, but it is definately a good worthwhile noise track. almost reminds me of 'mummy and daddy' era whitehouse without the studio polished sound. it was recorded in 1988 and mastered in 1997 at magaibutsu studio by juntaro and tatsuya yoshida of RUINS fame (and the 'instruments disorder' cd as well). the song was included on a split release with the german noise/weirdo band pysalpinx. it has a really simple and cool looking cover with a bunch of lines and dots that look like eyes that was drawn by konomi tanifuji.

limited to 300 numbered copies and put out by scrotum records in 1997.
