New York City Programs
The Ecology & NYC After-School Groups  |  Outdoor Explorers Program

The Ecology Group

christodora’s Ecology Group, is operated in collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden, in the Bronx. Using the Garden’s remarkable facilities as their outdoor classroom, some 40 junior-high school and high school students meet weekly on Sundays, focusing their minds on a broad range of fundamental ecological concepts and nature study, such as the water quality of the Bronx River and the effects of the wooly adelgid (insect) on the health of hemlock trees at the Garden.
