christodora's professional staff members are carefully selected based on their commitment, enthusiasm and experience leading and teaching youth, in addition to their environmental knowledge and safety training. Instructional staff are primarily degreed college graduates or, in the case of interns, current college students with a strong commitment to teaching and outdoor education. Students benefit from the close attention of a low student to teacher ratio of no more than six to one, and small instructional groups of 12 or less. Our staff provides responsible care and supervision of students 24 hours a day in our residential programs. We are particularly proud that each year our alumni comprise up to 60% of our program staff. Their contribution as role models giving back to their community inspires our students to commit themselves similarly.
