People

From the time of its small but ambitious beginnings in a basement on Avenue B in Manhattan’s Lower East Side in 1897, christodora’s people have been inspired by a mission to help people overcome obstacles to attain their highest potential.

Today, most of our students return to us year after year, often bringing us their friends, siblings, and eventually their children, and about two thirds of our program staff are christodora alumni.
